Maryland's crab cakes and crime rates could never satiate Heather's cosmopolitan interests. Unfortunately she made a sideways move by going to college in rural Pennsylvania where her lack of coal mining skills caused her to pursue the less lucrative fields of physics and mathematics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has since led a vagabond lifestyle that has thrust her into the harsh deserts of New Mexico, and always, she is accompanied by a fearsome feline that goes by the name of Jazzie whose black heart only has room for Heather.
