Madlibs Biography (highlight to fill in the blanks)

Born and raised on the sunny gulf coast of Florida, Brad attended college at Rice University in Houston,Texas. He graduated in 2006 with degrees in computer science and physics. Continuing his journey out west, he arrived in Albuquerque with an interest in anything quantum. Enticed by the group's experimental prowess (and JM's brilliance), Brad sidled into a role as the resident theorist. Several doses of stochastic calculus and otter pops later, he enjoys marathon matlab coding sessions and using latex to typeset long filtering equations. Occasionally, he sticks his head in lab and tries not to annoy anyone.

Current plan

  1. Run lots of computer simulations, solve Bellman equations, don't break things in lab
  2.  ?
  3. Get Ph.D.

A portrait, by Tom Jones

PT Barnum famously said that a sucker is born every minute. Less famously, but more ominously, he predicted the rise of a great carnie prince that would unite all carnies. Unfortunately this prince of princes, Brad Chase, was born in a time of limitless entertainment options that has left the carnival a shell of its former self. With a skill set that rivals the great Barnum, but with no kingdom to rule over, Brad has decided to apply himself to the worlds of physics and computer science where he received bachelor degrees in both disciplines from Rice University. Although he has found success in the sciences there is a deep sadness that courses through his veins. Some say that if you arrive in the lab early enough you can find Brad balanced on one foot atop three chairs while juggling swords as tears stream down both cheeks while he wonders what could have been.
