News from 2007
- Brad completes his candidacy exam (November 2007)
- QMC Group bakes out its first vacuum chamber for doing laser cooling and cavity QED with trapped atoms (June 2007)
- Paul receives the Eoin Gray Award, for the best graduating senior in Physics and Astronomy at the University of New Mexico! He's headed to the University of Oregon for grad school. (May 2007)
- QMC Group moves to its new home in Rooms 103/179/181, which are a little bit further away from Lomas, the high-tension power lines, and memories of the Great Christmas Flood of 2006 (March 2007)
- Rob and Paul's paper on optical coherent state discrimination is accepted at Nature (January 2007)
